“Of Ale and History” Beer Festival


Saturday, May 13, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Tasting Tickets are $30 at the gate and include a souvenir glass and eight tastings. Cash and all major credit cards will be accepted.

General Admission/Designated Driver Tickets are $10 at the gate. It includes two non-alcoholic beverages at the Designated Driver Tent.

Additional tastings may be purchased after 2 p.m. for $2 per tasting.

Advanced tasting tickets are $25 and on sale only while supplies last at:
* At area HandyMart locations,
* At the Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center at 1400 S. Pleasant Valley Ave. in Winchester (check and cash only)

Online advacned ticket sales have now ended.
If you purchased your ticket online, your PayPal reciept or confirmation email is your ticket. Tickets were not mailed. Please bring your PayPal reciept to the "Have Tickets" line on May 13.

IN THE BIG RED BARN!

Featuring:
1:30 Stephen Schuurman, cidermaker at Winchester Cider Works. A native of the United Kingdom, Stephen is a member of the National Association of Cider Makers and will talk about combining the English cidermaking tradition and Shenandoah Valley apples into a successful and tasty product.
2:30 Lee Graves author of "The Beer Guy" column and Richmond Beer: A History of Brewing in the River City and Charlottesville Beer : Brewing in Jefferson's Shadow. Lee will talk on the history of beer in the Commonwealth with "Virginia Beer Then and Now"
3:30 Billie Clifton, owner of Middletown's Backroom Brewery. Billie will talk about their farm brewery that began as a herb farm and expanded into growing hops and making great beer that has won awards at the 2016 Virginia Craft Beer Competition.
