Battle of Cedar Creek Commemoration Weekend

Belle Grove Plantation will commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Cedar Creek on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day. There will be  self-guided tours of the Manor House and living history presenters throughout the property. On the lower level of the Manor House will be an ordnance and flag display hosted by the Civil War Dance Foundation who will conduct free signaling demonstrations on Saturday 12:30-1 p.m. and Sunday 12:15-12:45 on the front lawn. Cedar Creek Blacksmithing will also be working on the property along with other mid-19th century craftspersons.

The Belle Grove property and Beverley B. Shoemaker Welcome Center will be open free of charge. The Museum Shop will be open and has Civil War souvenirs, books, and art.

To tour the Manor House will be an admission of $5 for those 12 and older. Admission is free for those 11 and younger, Belle Grove members, and National Trust members. Please purchase admission in the Museum Shop.

Because our region is a hot spot for COVID, guests over the age of five are asked to wear masks over their nose and mouth while indoors per recommendations of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
