Belle Grove Closed to Public and Update on 2020 Events

Due to the ongoing public health crisis, Belle Grove Plantation will not open to the public until at least Thursday, June 11, 2020. This is in response to the Commonwealth of Virginia's Executive Order 61 that extends the order to close museums among other businesses.

We are closely monitoring news and guidance regarding COVID-19 from health and government officials to make sure that when we open to the public we can do so safely for our guests and personnel. Please check this website or call 540-869-2028 before planning your visit. Below is the status of special events scheduled for 2020.

Although our museum is closed, the Museum Shop has items for sale at www.bellegrove.org/shop. We also share items daily on our social media streams at:

The Board of Directors and staff of Belle Grove Plantation wish our community peace and safety during this challenging time and we look forward to welcoming you back to the property as soon as it is safe to do so. We are particularly grateful for the ongoing support of our donors and members. We thank the Shenandoah Valley Battlfields Foundation for funding through its Historic Sites Emergency Grant Fund. Funding has also been provided by Virginia Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act Humanities Relief Grant Program.
