Valentine’s Day Dessert Party for Prospective Volunteers
Come join the fun we have volunteering at Belle Grove Plantation!
Have you been looking for an opportunity to meet new people, participate in lifelong learning, and provide meaningful community service? Belle Grove volunteers provide the spark that makes our site vibrant and lively. They are an important part of our outreach and hospitality and making Belle Grove’s story a compelling educational experience.
If you would like to learn more about volunteering, please join Belle Grove’s staff and volunteers for a special Valentine’s Day Dessert Party at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 13 at the historic 1797 Manor House. You will enjoy delectable homemade desserts, enjoy an insider’s tour, and meet current Belle Grove current Docent Guild and Service League members. Belle Grove is seeking volunteers to serve as tour guides and admissions assistants or to help with gardening, preservation projects, and special events. We also would love to learn about your interests and talents that might help us with a special project.
Volunteers at Belle Grove meet visitors from around the world, learn about Shenandoah Valley history, enjoy potluck socials, lectures, and twice annual trips to other historic sites. Volunteers pledge to attend annual trainings and typically volunteer for several shifts per month. Read more here.
