Spring Wildflower Walk
This event is sold out. To be added to the waiting list please email or call us at 540-869-2028.
Saturday, April 17, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Meet at Belle Grove and then drive over to Fort Bowman Road for walk to learn about Virginia wildflowers led by Dr. Woody Bousquet, Professor Emeritus of Environmental Studies and Biology, Shenandoah University. We timed this event to hopefully coincide with the blooming of the Virginia Bluebells along Cedar Creek.
While the walk will not be strenous, the ground is uneven and guests should wear shoes that can handle walking on soft ground and mud. All guests are asked to wear masks when not eating or drinking, even when outdoors. This is a rain or shine event.
We will return to Belle Grove for a boxed lunch from Shaffer's BBQ to enjoy outdoors or to go.
- Pulled Pork, Brisket or Chicken BBQ Sandwich
- Creamy Coleslaw
- Route 11 Chips
- Soda of Choice or Water
