Come to the historic Belle Grove Manor House and enjoy an evening as many persons of note may have during the time of Jefferson.
The President's dinners were considered dinners with a purpose, providing a safe forum for those invited to discuss arranged topics of the day under the watchful eye of a moderator.

By candlelight, enjoy a four course meal fresh from the garden.
Starter
Cream of Asparagus Soup
Asparagus was prominently grown at Monticello
Pickles & Boston Brown Bread & Butter
Pickling and salting were the paramount means of food preservation. Boston Brown Bread became prominent with large amount Wheat being grown, this nutty version is low in ingredients.
Main
Sunday Roast
Whole Roast was often served as a “hands off” dish plus so many had cattle. Vegetables made up a large portion of Jefferson’s diet and Monticello’s gardens were abundant. The roast is served tonight with typical corn pudding and Jefferson’s favorite Macaroni with Cheese
Dessert
Ginger Cake
This recipe comes straight from Dolly Madison and is served with a Monticello favorite, ice cream, and Citron
Fruit and Cheese
Close out the meal with Wine Gelee, fruit & cheese
