The Manor House
Located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Belle Grove offers guests inspiring tours of the region's premier authentic antebellum plantation. Belle Grove’s expert volunteer docents and staff lead guided tours of the 1797 Manor House.

Guided Tours are typically conducted Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m. Tours begin 15 minutes after each hour, Mondays-Saturdays the first tour begins at 10:15 a.m. and the last tour begins at 3:15 p.m. On Sundays the first tour begins at 1:15 and the last tour begins at 4:15 p.m. Guided tours last 45 minutes to one hour. Click here for pricing. Tickets for tours do not require advanced reservations. Please begin your visit at the Beverley B. Shoemaker Welcome Center (in the 1918 Barn) to purchase your ticket and receive a map of the property. We suggest that you plan to arrive on the hour to make your tour ticket purchase.
Visitors may also enjoy a complimentary, self-guided tour of the historic landscape and garden, and can visit the Museum Shop mid-March through December, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Belle Grove’s beautiful picnic areas, complete with panoramic mountain views, is also available for visitors’ use during museum touring hours.
Note: Belle Grove Members receive FREE admission for all regularly-scheduled guided tours, and members discounts on special event tickets and Museum Shop purchases. Please see the Membership page for more information on how you can join Belle Grove’s special circle of friends.
The museum operations of Belle Grove Plantation are completely self-supporting and overseen by a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) foundation, Belle Grove, Inc. Belle Grove's operating income is generated through museum admissions, memberships, museum shop sales, special events, grants and contributions. Although Belle Grove's property is owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Trust does not annually budget funds to support Belle Grove.
