The 2020 Hite of Excellence Series of Sumptuous Feasts Kick Off Party is Saturday, February 8, 6-8:30 p.m. This cocktail party is your first chance to purchase tickets to exclusive events that will be held throughout 2020 as fundraisers for Belle Grove. Some of these events will sell out that night, so don't miss out! The evening includes valet parking, full bar, delectable hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction. Saturday, April 4 Lord and Ladies Feast at Leith Hall Richard and Lyne Leith will prepare a feast of traditional Scottish dishes in their beautiful Strasburg home for a limited number of lucky guests.
Saturday, June 13 Women on the Homefront: Ladies Fashions from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War Sycamore Spring Clothier and friends invite you to tea in the Manor House. Then we’ll retire to their 18th century tent on the lawn for a historical fashion show.
Saturday, June 27 Bluegrass in the Barn with Five of A Kind A Belle Grove summertime tradition! Come tap your toes to one of our favorite bands and enjoy the sunset view from the Beverley B. Shoemaker Welcome Center.
Saturday, July 25 Wine Tasting Dinner at Woodstock Café This private event hosted especially for Belle Grove’s guests will feature a multi-course meal with locally sourced produce and the Café’s favorite wines.
Saturday, August 15 Crab Feast at Shaffer’s BBQ On their picnic pavilion overlooking the spectacular view of Cedar Creek Battlefield, we’ll enjoy steamed crabs and all the fixin’s and a beer tasting!
Saturday, September 26 Brunch n’ Barnstorming Start with brunch at the Beverley B. Shoemaker Welcome Center and learn how the 1918 Barn was constructed and used. Then tour nearby barns with John Adamson, manager of Shenandoah County Historical Society’s Barns Program.
Sunday, October 11 National Sheepdog Finals VIP ticket A front row seat to the final round of the six-day competition of amazing sheepdog and handler teams with breakfast, lunch, treats, drinks provided.
Monday, November 9 A Classic Movie Night at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema A stellar opportunity to see great stars on the big screen again with dinner included. The film will be confirmed in September, but let’s just say we hope to be “lookin’ at you, kid!”
Saturday, November 21 An Evening in Bruges at LaGrange Farm Be transported to Bruges, Belgium with a five-course meal and Belgian beer tasting. We’ll raise a glass to our Chef and new neighbor, Christa Nahhas and her family!
Saturday, December 5 Festive Christmas Tea at Belle Grove Plantation A popular holiday favorite—afternoon tea in the Manor House all decorated for the season.
