Belle Grove’s opening day of the season will be Saturday, March 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with reduced admission of $5 for those older than 16 and free admission for those 16 and younger.
The Manor House will be open for self-guided touring and to commemorate March as Women’s History Month, we will have a women’s history theme. There will be a musical program by violinsit Lois Sabo-Skelton in the Parlor at 10:30, 1:30, and 3:30 that will be dedicated to the free and enslaved women of Belle Grove. We will also have artifacts and historical props out in the rooms and family-friendly activities on the lower level. Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park Ranger Shannon Moeck will present Kneading in Silence: A Glimpse Into The Life of Judah the Enslaved Cook at 11:30.
