You will make a corn husk doll and a small natural corn broom to take home. These items can be incorporated in a wreath or a table arrangement for your fall decorations.

Pub Whiskey Tasting

Saturday, October 11, 6-8 p.m.

 The lower level of the Belle Grove Manor House will transform into an old time tavern setting perfect for a whiskey tasting led by a local expert. Upscale Pub grub will be served.

Belle Grove Plantation will be closed on Monday, October 13. We will be open on Tuesday, October 14, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Battle of Cedar Creek Anniversary

Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19

The Battle of Cedar Creek (October 19, 1864) will be commemorated at Belle Grove with interpretation of the Civil War history of the site and free admission on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19. The weekend will include reenactments hosted by Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation, and programs hosted by Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park.

Kneading in Silence: A Glimpse into the Life of the Enslaved Cook Judah

Take-A-Stitch in the Quilt Honoring People Enslaved at Belle Grove

More dates to be announced soon!

Come learn about memorial quilts that will honor the 270 individuals enslaved at Belle Grove from the 1780s to the 1860s. Community members are now invited to participate in the quilting process. We are currently planning more dates for quilting bees.
